On her 30th birthday, Nikki Gewirtz, Lola Rose founder, received a piece of jewellery that was so special, it changed her life. As well as being beautiful, it evoked magical childhood memories for Nikki, and, unexpectedly, struck a chord with her creative side. At the time, Nikki says, ‘I was at a crossroads in my life, and I didn’t know what I wanted to do, but I felt the need to create something stunning that was real and could be treasured. This gift inspired me to start designing my own pieces. At the same time, it reminded me of my Grandma Lola. She was so glamorous and stylish – I adored her.’ Three months later, Nikki’s first piece of jewellery came into being – a single tumble-stone bracelet, which became the foundation of her own brand, Lola Rose.
